Southern Pacific Caboose # 726 was built in 1916, in the Southern Pacific Oregon Brooklyn Yard. It was then retired in 1965 by the Southern Pacific Railroad Co. This caboose was donated to the City of Salinas by the Gheen Family in memory of Betty Gheen.
